چکیده

The entrainment dynamics of two chemical-oscillators in an excitable medium separated by some distance d was experimentally studied in the light-sensitive BelousovZhabotinsky reaction under application of external noise. Two chemical-oscillators were always spontaneously synchronized at sufficiently small d or frequency difference in the absence of noise. For insufficient distance to entrain each other, however, the frequency and phase were self-synchronized by application of noise. Increasing the noise intensity the entrainment frequency area between two oscillators increased and showed a maximum at a certain noise intensity, that is, an optimum noise intensity existed. We call this the noise-synchronaization phenomenon.

Noise-induced synchronization for phase turbulence

Phase turbulence is suppressed by applying common noise additively to the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky type equation, and the noise-induced phase synchronization is realized. Quantum synchronization of two Van der Pol oscillators

We study synchronization of two dissipatively coupled Van der Pol oscillators in the quantum regime. Due to quantum noise strict frequency locking is absent and is replaced by a crossover from weak to strong frequency entrainment. We discuss the differences to the behavior of one quantum Van der Pol oscillator subject to an external drive. Moreover, we describe a possible experimental realizati...

A Phase Noise Reduction Technique in LC Cross-coupled Oscillators with Adjusting Transistors Operating Regions

In this paper, an intuitive analysis of a phase noise reduction technique is done, and then a modified structure is proposed to achieve higher phase noise reduction than the original one. This method reduces the impact of noise sources on the phase noise by decreasing closed-loop gain in zero-crossings points and moving this high closed-loop gain to the non-zero-crossings points. This reduction...

Recent experiments in one and two-dimensional microfluidic arrays of droplets containing Belousov Zhabotinsky reactants show a rich variety of spatial patterns [J. Phys. Chem. Lett. 1, 1241-1246 (2010)]. The dominant coupling between these droplets is inhibitory. Motivated by this experimental system, we study repulsively coupled Kuramoto oscillators with nearest neighbor interactions, on a lin...
